This article will cover the following:

  • How to install the banner

How to Install the Banner

  1. Go to your dealerships Facebook page
  2. Click “Edit Page” in the top right corner

    Click to view large image
  3. Click “Profile Picture” in the left column.
  4. Click “Choose File”

  5. Select the banner that you received, click upload

      6. PRO-TIP:

      Adjust your thumbnail image to show the most important part of your banner. We tend to let our eyes “scan” when on these types of sites, so make sure your content stands out!

      1. Click “Edit Thumbnail”

      2. Make sure “Scale to Fit.” is NOT CHECKED.
      3. Click on the image and drag it into the position you want in.

      4. Click save.


      Creating links to your contest

      Now that you have the thumbnail and image in place, let do some basic things to help get your customers to the contest in the fewest steps. Remember, the less work the customer has to do to get to your page the better!

      We’re going to create two links; one will be on the banner itself, the other will be in the page info.

      Add link to the page info:

      1. From your Facebook page wall: Click “Edit Info”

      2. Scroll to the bottom.
      3. In the “Website” field add a comma after your deals address and add the contest website address.


        Example: http://sampledealer.com, http://sampledealercontest.com

      4. 4: Click “Save Changes”

      PRO-TIP:

      Add some content about the contest in your description. Make it stand out by using simple formatting techniques.

      Example:
      ★ ★ ★ ★ WIN A FREE TRIP TO DISNEY ★ ★ ★ ★
      Content about the contest would go here

      Add link to the image/banner:

      1. From the dealership Facebook page home
      2. Click on the banner.

      3. Click it again…

      4. In the comment section, add your link.

      5. click “Enter” on your keyboard

      PRO-TIP:

      Does your sales team use Facebook? Let them get the word out, encourage them to use this image as their profile picture as well. A simple way to do that is to “Tag” them in the photo.

      1. With the photo open, click “Tag Photo” in the bottom right.

      2. This will turn your mouse into a “Plus Sign” Click anywhere on the image
      3. A field will pop-up, enter the names of the people you would like to enter. You must repeat that process for each person you want to enter.
      4. When you are finished entering in all the names, click the “Done Tagging” link.

      Congratulations, That’s it, you’re all finished! You’re now a F.P.P.P. (Facebook Profile Picture Pro)
